I'm Bogdan Davydov, a software engineer in Vienna. For the past five years I've been building and operating backend and full-stack systems — most of them in Java, and most of them in enterprise telecom billing: the unglamorous machinery that decides what actually ends up on a phone bill.

These days I work as a consultant, usually as the only engineer on the project — requirements, architecture, backend, frontend, CI/CD, and then the production support when it's live. I like owning the whole thing: decisions stay honest when there's no one downstream to hand the consequences to.

Alongside employment I run a registered one-man business and build my own products — an auction platform, at the moment — on a self-hosted server stack I provision and monitor myself. Now and then I poke at security: four of my five reports to the City of Vienna's bug bounty program were accepted.

In my free time I analyze on-chain data — mostly Solana. Not to chase trades, but to understand the bigger picture: what's actually happening underneath all the noise. This site is where those notes end up.

Lately I'm very into Elixir. The language just makes sense to me — it's elegant, and after years of OOP, functional programming hits different.
